Ever since 1978, when Kenner first brought heroes and villains from "a galaxy far, far away" into living rooms very close by, Star Wars toys have been waging (and winning) a rebellion against our collective wallets.

The toys may have evolved, but the mission remains: to make you believe you need just one more X-Wing, even if you already own three. "You want this, don't you?" sounds less like Palpatine taunting Luke and more like Hasbro whispering in your ear.
