This DC Direct Page Punchers release captures Batman as he appears in Justice, the legendary twelve-issue maxiseries written by Alex Ross and Jim Krueger, with layouts and pencils by Doug Braithwaite painted over by Ross himself. The premise is pure Saturday morning gone apocalyptic: the Legion of Doom, led by Lex Luthor and Brainiac, shares a dream of Earth's destruction and bands together to "save" the world, and the Justice League has every reason to doubt their motives. Ross described it as the Super Friends versus the Legion of Doom, to the death.

The figure translates Ross's painted Dark Knight into a brand-new sculpt with Ultra Articulation, up to 22 moving parts, and a soft goods wired cape for those brooding, painterly silhouettes. And because it's a Page Puncher, the story comes with it: a reprint of Justice #1 is right in the box, so you can see exactly where this Batman comes from.
