The Eradicator is an ancient artifact of Krypton with a sentient personality, and he's been both ally and enemy to Superman, depending on the decade and his mood. He's best known as one of the four replacement Supermen from the Reign of the Supermen saga, the visor-wearing "Last Son of Krypton" who enforced Kryptonian ideals a little too literally. The original Kenner Super Powers line wrapped years before he ever appeared, so McFarlane's revival is his first shot at the retro treatment, and he wears it well: signature yellow visor, soft fabric cape, and classic Super Powers blister card packaging straight off a 1985 pegboard.

He lands in a wave that's pure Reign of the Supermen energy, alongside Cyborg Superman, Supergirl, and Power Girl, which means the whole post-Death-of-Superman family feud fits on a single shelf, at coffee-mug scale, in the brightest colors imaginable. Somewhere, 1993 is very proud.
