Godzilla DX Soul of Chogokin Mechagodzilla (1974)

It lights up. It roars. Fifty years after leveling Tokyo on screen, Mechagodzilla returns as the ultimate die-cast centerpiece.

Mechagodzilla joins the DX SOUL OF CHOGOKIN line to mark the 50th anniversary of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, and this release goes all in on the character's original mechanical menace. Standing 270mm (10.6") tall with a die-cast metal body, the figure is packed with a built-in LED and sound IC, controlled through the dorsal fin switches that stay cleverly hidden along the exterior so they never break the illusion.

Turn it on and the eyes light up with the sound of Mechagodzilla's roar, and from there the figure can trigger the Space Beam, the Cross Attack Beam launcher hidden inside the opening chest hatch, and even a spring-loaded wrist mechanism that fires off the finger missile sound effect. The head rotates a full 360 degrees with both eyes lighting up no matter which direction it's turned, letting you recreate the film's famous simultaneous front-and-back attack. Swap the head and tail and the figure transforms into its flying form, complete with its own dedicated sound effects.

Every joint throughout the body is fully articulated, including the character's signature accordion-style leg joints reproduced with separate moving parts, and the metallic finish is built from silver paint layered with multiple shadow tones, with rivet detailing throughout molded using slide-mold technology for genuine texture rather than painted-on lines.
